COVID-19: Deaths in Canada rise by almost 12 percent in a single day

As Spain is seeing the lowest number of deaths today since March 22, the total number of coronavirus deaths in Canada has shot up to 1,506 in a single day. The figure represents  almost 12 per cent according to official data posted by the public health agency of Canada.

In an earlier statement posted at around 15:00 GMT, it said the number of people diagnosed with the coronavirus climbed to 33,922.

Aljazeera reports that the respective figures on Saturday were 1,346 deaths and 32,412 positive diagnoses.
