Outgoing president of the United Staes States (US), Donald J. Trump, has named his special envoy to attend the second innauguration ceremony of Ghana’s president, Akufo-Addo.
The statement indicates that , Dr J. Peter Pham, United States Special Envoy for the Sahel Region of Africa will lead the delegation to attend the inauguration.
In a White House brief, Trump mentioned Stephanie S. Sullivan, United States Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana as a member of the delegation for the swearing-in ceremony.
President Akufo-Addo will be sworn in on January 7 after his victory in the Decemebr 7 General Elections.
The ceremony will take place at the precinct of Parliament due to the coronavirus pandemic.
