President John Dramani Mahama has announced his first set of ministerial appointments, nominating Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance, John Abdul Jinapor for Energy, and Dominic Ayine for Attorney General and Minister for Justice.
This list has been submitted to the Speaker of Parliament per Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson – Minister for Finance Designate Dr. Forson is a seasoned economist, chartered accountant, and tax practitioner with an extensive public finance, macroeconomics, fiscal policy, and tax policy background.
A five-term Member of Parliament, he holds a PhD in Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), alongside a Master of Science degree in Tax.
