With no specific mandate stated in the communique, we believe the appointment of DDGP Patience Baffoe-Bonnie to lead the Ghana Prisons Service will enhance focus on prison decongestion and the enhancement of inmate rehabilitation programs.
Similarly, DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong’s appointment as the Chief Fire Officer will see an improvement in the modernization of firefighting infrastructure and improve public fire safety education.
Lastly, with border security becoming paramount due to recent events across the sub-region, we believe that DCI Samuel Basentale’s appointment as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service will help strengthen border security and streamline immigration processes.
