Nobody does it better than Black Sherif when it comes to delivering a live performance session.
Black Sherif’s annual Zaama Disco concert performances are consistently top-notch, but the latest live show featuring Sherif and his team, Road Boys Association (RBA), is a masterclass in live performance.
Performing four songs off the “Iron Boy” album alongside a choir, a band, and an orchestra at one point, the 14-minute video starts with a melodious live version of “Lord I’m Amazed,” with a smooth transition to “Rebel Music,” where Sherif never misses a beat despite the groovy and pulsating rhythm of the instrumentation. The next number, “January 9th,” follows quickly, this time featuring a brilliant solo performance of the song.

And, saving the best for last, the Iron Boy, as he currently calls himself, performs “So It Goes,” featuring Fireboy DML. The soulful rendition showcased proper coordination and synchronized interaction between Sherif, the band, choir and orchestra, as they bounced harmonies and melodies off each other.
The video was directed by Awudu Musa (Baabs Direction), executive produced by Aubrey Mensah Tetteh, with music direction from Kwadwo Ofori.
