Evolving from releasing world-charting bangers to directing his own music video, Nigerian music luminary, Wizkid, is premiering his latest documentary at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.
Wizkid’s latest film project is among the official selections for world premieres at the festival scheduled for the following dates: June 6, 7, and 11. ‘Long Live Lagos‘ is a personal ode to the city that raised the Starboy.

The documentary intimately follows Wizkid’s rise to fame, blending stories of his journey in the suburbs of Lagos, introduction to music, stage performances, commentary and interviews from other personalities, including Femi Kuti, Wizkid’s partner; Jada Pollock, Sunday Are, his longtime manager; Julia Adenuga, Seni Saraki and other associates who have collaborated closely with the Grammy-winning artist.

Prior to “Long Live Lagos,” the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker also released a “A Superstar Made in Lagos” docuseries on YouTube, before the release of his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, “Made in Lagos.” His mysterious and quiet persona left fans craving insight into his daily activities, so he released “A Day in the Life with Wizkid” vlog on YouTube.
