President Mahama has appointed Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, head of the finance ministry and Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Buah, head of the Environment, Science, and Technology ministry, to fill the leadership void left in the wake of the fatal helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two ministers en route to Obuasi.
A statement from the Presidency, signed by Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed that the President has appointed Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, Minister for Finance and Emmanuel Kofi Armah Buah, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, to oversee the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology in an acting capacity, respectively.
The development comes less than 24 hours after a fatal helicopter crash en route to an event in Obuasi claimed the lives of the Defence Minister and the Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology.
