Salah Quizzes UEFA on Palestine Pele’s Death
Liverpool and Egypt, forward Mohamed Salah, has publicly called out UEFA for posting a tribute to Suleiman al-Obeid, known as the “Palestinian Pelé,” without including details about the circumstances surrounding his death.
In its tribute on X (formerly Twitter), UEFA wrote: “Farewell to Suleiman al-Obeid, the ‘Palestinian Pelé’. A talent who gave hope to countless children, even in the darkest of times.” Salah replied bluntly: “Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?”
The Palestine Football Association (PFA) confirmed that al-Obeid, aged 41, was killed in Gaza when Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in southern Gaza. A respected striker who had scored over 100 career goals and represented the Palestinian national team more than 20 times, al-Obeid leaves behind a wife and five children.
Salah’s demand sparked a response from an Israeli military spokesperson, who wrote on X: “Hey Mohamed, After an initial review, we found no records of any incidents involving Suleiman al-Obeid. In order to take a closer look, we need more details.”

Kofi Boat & Other “Chairmen” Extradited to the U.S
Isaac Kofi Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Kofi Boat, alongside Inusah Ahmed and Derrick van Yeboah, have been extradited to the United States to face charges related to a sophisticated cyber-fraud operation.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the defendants held leadership roles in a West Africa-based cybercrime syndicate responsible for a wave of romance scams and business email compromise (BEC) schemes.
The group allegedly used false identities to build emotional relationships with vulnerable Americans online, convincing many to transfer large sums of money or unknowingly launder funds stolen from others. In parallel, the same network hacked or spoofed email accounts to redirect payments from U.S. businesses into their control.
