The National Communications Authority (NCA) has suspended the operations of nine radio stations for various regulatory breaches.
The decision was announced by the NCA today, August 12, 2024. This comes after the expiration of a 30-day amnesty granted by President John Dramani Mahama to defaulting stations.
“Six stations failed, refused and neglected to comply with the regulatory amnesty by taking no action,” NCA said in a statement.
