Ghana recorded a year-on-year inflation rate of 9.4% for the month of September, the lowest in four years, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).
The inflation rate of 9.4% would also mark the first time since 2021 that Ghana recorded single-digit inflation.
According to the GSS, the decline shows a sustained shift in prices which signals that Ghana is on the path to macroeconomic stability.
The Service also noted that the slowdown was largely driven by an ease in food prices. Food inflation declined to 11.0 percent in September from 14.8% in August 2025. Also, non-food inflation fell to 8.2 percent in September 2025 from 8.7 percent in August 2025.
Inflation for locally produced items was 10.1 percent in September from 12.2 percent in August 2025.
