The Presidency has announced that no prima facie case has been established in petitions seeking the removal of the Electoral Commissioner, her deputies, and the Special Prosecutor.
In a statement signed by the spokesperson to the president and dated February 18, 2026, said President John Dramani Mahama had earlier received seven petitions calling for the removal of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Jean Mensa and her Deputies, as well as three separate petitions targeting the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
