Ghanaian musicians and creatives have secured nominations for the 43rd International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
Shatta Wale, holding a record as the most decorated Ghanaian artist with 9 IRAWMA plaques, garnered three nominations: Best African Dancehall Entertainer, Best Music Video (Street Crown), and Concert of the Year (Shattafest).
First-time nominee MOLIY, who dominated charts and gained global attention with “Shake It To The Max”, leads Ghana’s nominations with four spots: Jimmy Cliff Award for Best Cross Over Entertainer, Best Music Video for (Shake It To The Max), Best Hip-hop & RNB Collaboration Reggae Song (Shake It To The Max Remix), and Dennis Brown Award for Best Entertainer.

Other notable Ghanaian nominees include Nhance for Best New Entertainer and entertainment blogger Ameyaw Debrah for Best Social Media Influencer, highlighting his contributions to Ghanaian entertainment journalism.
The 43rd edition of IRAWMA, dedicated to Hon. Justice Shelvin L.M. Hall, is themed “JAMAICA RISE,” saluting the music industry and individuals who united and contributed to Jamaica’s Hurricane Melissa relief efforts. The awards will be hosted on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
