Ghanaian-South African songstress Adina Thembi has made a triumphant return to the music scene with her latest single, “Stay Far,” dropped in 2026.
The Afropop and highlife showcases her impressive vocal range, delivering a performance that’s equal parts soulful and silky smooth. Lyrically, “Stay Far” is a declaration of boundaries and eschewing toxic and negative energy while urging listeners to safeguard their peace whiles facing the grind for the money.
The song’s production is mainly characterized by authoritative chordophone basslines rhythms and unshakeably calm bass drum synths, which converge to create a sound that is rooted in contemporary Afropop and Highlife grooves.
The new single is not the only thing Adina is ticking off her to-do list. She recently announced via her social media platforms that her sophomore studio album, “Becoming,” is slated for release later this year.
The project promises to chronicle the pivotal stages of her career and personal evolution, capturing the journey of self-discovery that has shaped her into the songstress she is today.
