Emerging Ghanaian gospel musician Kwadwo Sarfo is set to make a significant statement in the gospel music space with his latest project, “This Is Zion,” a spiritually inspired song birthed through prayer and divine instruction.
Born in the late 1990s in Goaso and hailing from Ghana’s Central Region, Prince Kwadwo Sarfo is a full-time chemist with the Ghana Standards Authority who is also pursuing his passion for gospel music and Christian ministry.
Although an emerging voice in Ghana’s gospel scene, Sarfo already has an original song and a collection of powerful gospel medleys to his credit. Beyond music, he is the host of two annual worship and spiritual gatherings: “Glory in His Presence” in Accra and the “Give Us You Conference” in Kumasi.

“This Is Zion” carries a unique testimony behind its creation. According to Prince Kwadwo Sarfo, the inspiration for the song came during a prayer meeting led by Rev. Benhardt Ofosuapea.
During the prayer session, Rev. Ofosuapea instructed Sarfo to immediately write a song centered on Zion, following a spiritual prompting after he noticed the word “Zion” boldly written at the entrance of the church.
Responding to the instruction, Sarfo entered into prayer. Within minutes, the lyrics and melody of the song began to flow.
What started as a spontaneous act of obedience has now developed into a full gospel music project that Sarfo believes is a testimony of how far the Lord has brought him.
“This Is Zion” therefore represents more than a musical release. It is a reflection of obedience, prayer, worship and the belief that God can birth powerful sounds in unexpected moments.
Through the song, Kwadwo Sarfo seeks to draw listeners into a deeper awareness of God’s presence and remind believers of Zion as a place of divine encounter, worship, identity and communion with God.
As he continues to balance his professional career as a chemist with his growing ministry as a gospel musician, Prince Kwadwo Sarfo is positioning himself as one of the emerging voices bringing a fresh, prayer-centred perspective to Ghanaian gospel music.
With “This Is Zion,” he invites listeners to encounter the sound that was birthed in the place of prayer.
