The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has opened applications for the second edition of the SheRhythms Festival, with submissions closing on Thursday, 30 October 2026.
The all‑female music festival will take place on 11 and 12 December at Alliance Française in Accra under the theme “Amplifying Her Voice, Elevating Her Art.”
Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and the Creative Arts Agency in collaboration with Alliance Française, the SheRhythms festival will begin with a masterclass at the University of Ghana’s School of Performing Arts.

MUSIGA Assistant Vice President Abena Ruthy said the one‑day masterclass will focus on performance excellence, music business fundamentals and brand development.
“We are lining up resource persons to lead workshops and panel discussions that will equip participants with practical tools for career growth,” she noted.
MUSIGA President Bessa Simons described the festival as a platform to expand opportunities for female artists.
“SheRhythms is more than performance. It is about giving women a dedicated space to showcase their art, build their capacities and network with peers and industry leaders,” he said. “We want every female musician in Ghana to see herself on that stage and connect with opportunities that can sustain her career. We are also inviting international artists to register,” he said.
Female musicians interested in performing are required to submit applications before the deadline.
Submissions must include a performance portfolio with audio or video links, an artist biography and a description of musical style or genre.
The selected artistes will receive promotional support, professional stage production and access to industry networking opportunities.
