Ghanaian singer and multi-instrumentalist Kojo Antwi, has donated his personal piano to the Aburi Arts and Crafts Centre in the Eastern Region, thereby reinforcing his commitment to the preservation and advancement of Ghana’s cultural and creative heritage.
Kojo Antwi, widely known as “Mr. Music Man,” ranks among Ghana’s most distinguished musicians. His distinctive fusion of highlife with elements of soul and funk has shaped Ghanaian music for decades, with over 13 albums to his names.
The donation was formally accepted by the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Ablah Gomashie, during her Eastern Regional Familiarisation Tour.

The Minister characterised the gesture as concrete evidence of the confidence that artists and the wider public had in the Centre, underscoring its capacity to make a meaningful contribution to towards the safeguarding of Ghana’s creative legacy and history.
She further stated that Kojo Antwi’s contribution exemplifies the importance of supporting institutions that function as platforms for Ghanaian creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural expression.
In addition, the Minister called upon the public to increase patronage of locally produced goods, stressing that the promotion and sustenance of indigenous artistry remain fundamental to the country’s tourism appeal.
The Aburi Arts and Crafts Centre, she noted, continues to distinguish itself as a principal destination for authentic Ghanaian cultural products.

Beyond providing visitors with the opportunity to experience and acquire locally crafted items, the Centre performs a vital role in supporting artisans and strengthening the broader creative economy.
