Richard Yermoh, the current Deputy Director of Volunteers and Surrogates, has filed his nomination to contest for the position of Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region, with a campaign focused on youth mobilisation, grassroots organisation and strengthening the party’s electoral prospects.
Yermoh filed his nomination on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, formally entering the race to join the regional youth leadership of the governing party.
His campaign centres on mobilising the youth, galvanising the party’s grassroots base and working towards reclaiming parliamentary seats in constituencies where the NDC faces electoral challenges, while consolidating its hold on seats it has already won.

He maintains that the heart of his ambition is the belief that the youth remain a critical force in the party’s organisation and electoral fortunes. He is positioning youth mobilisation not as an election-season activity but as a continuous process that requires active constituency structures, sustained engagement and coordinated grassroots participation.
“The strength of the NDC lies in its grassroots, and the youth are an indispensable part of that foundation. We must build a youth wing that works throughout the year, not one that becomes visible only when elections approach,” he said.
He also suggested the need for a coordinated approach to the party’s parliamentary ambitions, with attention to both constituencies where it seeks to regain seats and those where it aims to maintain its position.
“Our objective must be to consolidate the seats we have won and work strategically to reclaim those we have lost. Every constituency matters, and every young party member has a role to play in achieving that objective,” Yermoh said.
His proposed agenda centres on strengthening constituency-level youth structures, improving coordination between regional and constituency executives, and encouraging greater participation among young party members.
“I believe the youth can and will make a meaningful difference in the future of our party. With effective leadership, proper organisation and a united front, we can galvanise our base and strengthen the NDC’s presence across the Eastern Region,” he added.
The NDC’s Regional Executive Elections is scheduled for November 14&15, 2026, with vetting of aspirants set for October 16&17.
