The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened applications for members interested in contesting its parliamentary primaries ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The party announced the opening of the application process in a press release issued on Sunday, November 1, 2026, inviting prospective aspirants to formally declare their intention to contest the internal elections.
Applications will be open from November 1 to November 10, 2026, with interested members required to pay a non-refundable application fee of GH¢5,000.

The exercise is expected to give party members seeking to represent the NPP in Parliament an opportunity to formally register their interest ahead of the primaries.
It is worth noting that the party recently elected new national executives, with John Boadu elected as chairman.
