Rebecca Akufo-Addo Thank Traders at Agbogbloshie, Urges Them to Vote Massively for NPP

The First Lady visited the market centre to bid the traders farewell as she and her husband exit the presidency and also to canvass for support for the NPP Presidential Candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodoo Constituency, Abdul Manaf Nii Adjei Sowah.

The first lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has thanked traders, especially, market women at Agbogbloshie in Accra for their support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) within the past eight years.

She said the NPP was a party that can be trusted to govern the country better than any other political party, bringing much development to the people.

She said the party had the welfare of all Ghanaians at heart and, therefore, called on all the people to “make no mistake” but vote massively for the NPP on December 7.

Mrs Akufo-Addo said since the NPP took over power some eight years ago, it had brought about lots of developments in the areas of schools, hospitals and roads, which she said, were all to help improve the lives of people.

She, therefore, called on the electorate to vote for Dr Bawumia as he was the only one who could continue with the good work of the NPP.

She said Dr Bawumia was God-sent, and therefore, Ghanaians should not let him slip through their fingers.

The first lady also urged them to vote for Alhaji Manaf, who although not yet an MP, had undertaken a lot of developmental projects in the constituency, including the construction of seven boreholes and also provided soft loans to the traders.

Alhaji Manaf, on his part, called on the women to come out and vote massively for the NPP on December 7, saying, 90 per cent of all the votes in the constituency were from Agbogbloshie and, therefore, they should not disappoint him.

He said on December 7, the election day, which is a Saturday, they should not sit behind their wares and think somebody would vote for their preferred candidates, but rather, they should go out and vote massively for “number one” in both the presidential and parliamentary  candidates on the ballot paper.

He said as a trader himself, he was coming for the good of the people at Agbogbloshie as he understood them better.

Alhaji Manaf also called on the people to vote for Dr Bawumia so that together, they could bring many developmental projects to the constituency.

He said the only person that could take Ghanaians to the “promise land” was Dr Bawumia, saying, he had the blue print to the country’s development.
