The 97th Academy Awards took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles, to celebrate the finest achievements in film.
The prestigious film award ceremony was hosted by talk show host, Conan O’Brien, bringing his signature wit and charm to the stage. The film “Emilia Perez,” led the nominations with an impressive 13 nods, followed closely by “Wicked” and “The Brutalist,” each securing 10 nominations.
However, it was “Anora” that stole the spotlight, sweeping away five major awards, including Best Picture, Best Editing, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actress, the highest tally of the evening.
