The Member of Parliament for Suhum, Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, is partnering with the Frema Foundation, a non-partisan organization in Ghana dedicated to empowering women, to distribute hundreds of reusable eco-pads to women across the Suhum Constituency as part of efforts to promote menstrual health and improve access to affordable menstrual hygiene products.
The distribution exercise is scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the L.A. Nyarko Pentecost Church, near the Amponsah Market in Suhum.
The initiative, according to the MP, is aimed at supporting women who face challenges accessing quality menstrual products while promoting comfort, confidence and dignity during their menstrual cycles.

In a Facebook post announcing the initiative, Hon. Asiedu Bekoe said the intervention goes beyond the distribution of menstrual products, describing it as an expression of care and a practical step towards improving women’s health and well-being.
He explained that the initiative would also help ease the financial burden associated with purchasing disposable menstrual products while encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly alternatives.
“Every woman deserves to go through her menstrual cycle with comfort, confidence and dignity. Yet, for many women, access to quality menstrual products remains a challenge,” he stated.
The Suhum MP expressed excitement about the partnership with the Frema Foundation, adding that he looked forward to welcoming women from across the constituency to participate in the initiative.
The initiative forms part of efforts to raise awareness about menstrual health, promote sustainable menstrual hygiene practices and ensure that women are not disadvantaged by the cost of essential menstrual products.
Hon. Asiedu Bekoe has called on women in the constituency to participate in the exercise as stakeholders work together to make menstrual health a priority.
