Vice President Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has returned to the country after spending almost two months on medical leave in the UK.
“I am grateful to be back home in good health,” Opoku Agyemang wrote on X.

She was welcomed at the Kotoka International Airport by President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Lordina Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, her office’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia, and other senior government officials.

On March 28, 2025, the Vice President’s office announced that she had received preliminary treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) before being flown to London for further medical care.
Details of her treatment were, however, not disclosed.
