Watch: Sarkodie and Kweku Smoke’s “Violence” Official Music Video

The drone and aerial shots of the open scenery and action in the video add a breathtaking perspective on the duo's performance at full throttle.

Big chains, blue skies, Ferrari and Lamborghini tires drifting, and you’ve got Sarkodie and Kweku Smoke spitting hard verses on your screens for the love of the rap game.

Directed by Awudu Musa, the video for Sarkodie’s brand-new record, “Violence,” featuring Kweku Smoke, released on June 13, 2025, is a visual spectacle that embodies the vibe and energy necessary for a hip-hop music video. A little reminiscent of Jay-Z and Kanye’s “Otis” music video, the “Violence” video opens with an intense, dramatic shot of Sarkodie in all-black attire before transitioning to high-octane scenes of him speeding and delivering sharp bars in a sleek Lamborghini.

The drone and aerial shots of the open scenery and action in the video add a breathtaking perspective on the duo’s performance at full throttle.

Sarkodie viciously attacks the beat with the same message as before: his crown can never be snatched, nor his greatness be matched or forgotten. Flexing his legacy and assets in different sequences, he questions other rappers and lectures them concerning how far he has raised the bar of Ghanaian rap without settling for less.

Kweku Smoke, who has featured Sarkodie on two separate rap records (“Yedin” and “Apakye”), tackles the momentum of Sarkodie’s flow with a jiggy hook this time. The street preacher forsakes laying bars to bless the hook of the song with inspiring lyrics about overcoming life’s hurdles.
