Sean “Diddy” Combs has been convicted of prostitution-related offenses but acquitted Wednesday of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put one of hip-hop’s most celebrated figures behind bars for life.
This comes after nearly two months of daily court appearances in his hometown of New York City.
Jurors found Combs guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted him on the top charge of racketeering and both sex trafficking counts.

The mixed result came on the third day of deliberations. It could still send Combs, 55, to prison for as long as a decade, and is likely to end his career as a hitmaking music executive, fashion entrepreneur, brand ambassador and reality TV star.
Combs has been incarcerated at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since he was arrested on Sept. 16.
