Richard Nii Armah, one of Ghana’s most influential entrepreneurs and a leading figure in West African business circles, has launched a multi-site food bank initiative targeting hunger in five of Accra’s most densely populated communities.
The philanthropic move, unveiled Friday, August 1, 2025, brings food relief directly to families in Teshie, Ashaiman, Kasoa, Odorkor, and Madina – areas that continue to grapple with the rising cost of living and deepening food insecurity.
He indicated earlier that the food bank will serve as a safe place where individuals can walk in and enjoy a hot meal every day at no cost.

“No one should ever go hungry. That’s why I’m launching Food Banks, safe spaces where anyone can eat one hot meal a day, completely free. We start soon. As long as I have strength, we’ll keep expanding,” Richard Nii Armah posted on his social media.
All one has to do is bring their Ghana card to the bank and be served.
