Ghanaians aged 60 and above will enjoy complimentary admission to the premiere of Fiifi Coleman’s production, “I Told You So”, on March 5, 2026.
This iconic stage play, originally written by Bob Cole, returns to the National Theatre during Ghana’s independence month. The play explores themes of family, greed, positive virtues, and moral decadence that have shaped Ghanaian society from decades past to the present day, offering a reflection on the country’s evolution amidst modernisation.
To reconnect with the older generations who lived through these themes, Fiifi Coleman, in collaboration with the National Theatre, invites attendees aged 60 and above to experience this vintage classic with complimentary entry, upon presentation of a valid National Identification card.

Producer and director Fiifi Coleman notes that, the revival is not only a tribute to Bob Cole’s legacy but also a reminder of the timeless values that Ghanaian stage drama embodies, saying the latest direction of the play aims to reconnect audiences with these enduring principles.
“This play speaks to who we are as a people – our humour, our struggles, our values. Bringing it back to the stage is a gift to both older and younger generations,” he said.
‘I Told You So’ will take the centre stage of the National Theatre on March 5 and 6 at 7:00 pm, and March 7 and 8 at 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
