After giving fans a taste of his dark, gothic-inspired eclectic phase with the “Heis” album, Rema turns the light on with his new single, “Fun.”
Rema’s “Fun”, produced by longtime collaborator ThisizLondon and AoD, is characterized by lively grooves, subtle piano runs, and pulsating drum kicks that propel you to move, as the Nigerian Afrobeats rave lord swaggers calmly on the beat with his vocals. The record explores Rema’s hedonistic thoughts on living freely in the moment, happiness, and sentiments of disregarding rival competition, as his main aim is to have fun, achieve his goals, embrace life’s highs and live it up with his comrades.
The official music video for “Fun” is directed by Perliks, with some excerpts shot in Accra, Ghana, where Rema depicts summer-friendly vibes along the coastlines and in party-hard scenes, and a joyful shot of family and friends gathering perfectly suited for a good time. The visuals also feature cameos from labelmate Crayon and producer ThisizLondon.
