Background
In January 2019, Ahmed Suale, a key member of the Tiger Eye P.I. investigative team, was shot and killed by unknown assailants. The suspect, Koranteng, who was a colleague and friend of the deceased journalist, was arrested and arraigned for abetment to commit a crime and murder, and was facing committal proceedings before the court.
According to investigators, on January 16, 2019, shortly after the broadcast, Ahmed Suale was shot and killed in Madina. The prosecution stated that the accused, a former colleague of the deceased at Tiger Eye P.I., the investigative firm led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was familiar with Suale’s residence and hideouts.
He allegedly led two other suspects, who remain at large, to the location where the journalist was murdered. Call records reportedly placed the accused near Suale’s home in Madina before and during the killing.
