Five years after his death, Chadwick Boseman will be posthumously honoured with a five-pointed star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20, 2025.
To commemorate Boseman’s legacy on the big screen, his widow Simone Ledward-Boseman will accept the star on his behalf. At the ceremony, director Ryan Coogler and actress Viola Davis will also pay tribute to the late actor. The star, located at 6904 Hollywood Boulevard, will be the 2,828th star on the Walk of Fame, honouring the actor Chadwick Boseman in the Motion Pictures category.
Chadwick Boseman, who passed away tragically in 2020 at the age of 43 after battling colon cancer, made his mark in the film industry by taking on iconic roles that celebrated Black culture. Playing Jackie Robinson and James Brown earned him a place among the most talented actors.
However, portraying T’Challa in Marvel’s Black Panther brought him global recognition. The film earned seven Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. His last acting performance in the film ‘Black Bottom’ earned him a posthumous Academy Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Golden Globe statue.
