South African rapper Nasty C has disclosed that Ghana’s Sarkodie does not have spot on his top three Ghanaian rappers list.
In a recent interview with Joy Prime’s Roselyn Felli on the Changes show, Nasty C was asked to rank his top three Ghanaian rappers, and he listed Black Sherif, Vic Mensa, and Kwesi Arthur.
When asked why he excluded Sarkodie from the names, the “Hell Naw” hitmaker responded:

“No, he’s not in my top 3 at the moment. But he is definitely in the top 5.”
When questioned about the possibility of a collaboration between the two, given the friction between them dating back to 2022, Nasty C said.
“I don’t know, we’ll have to have a conversation. A lot of things got lost in translation. So If it’s organized, yes. I said that in the song I put out,” referring to his song “No Big Deal,” where he admitted to turning down a feature request from Sarkodie after the Ghanaian ignored him at an event.
He claimed that Sarkodie misinterpreted the song’s lyrics and responded with unwarranted jabs. However, he remains open to having a conversation with Sarkodie.
“But his response to the song was spicy. So, I don’t know where his head is at the moment. I’m not really worried about it. But if he wants to sit down and have that conversation, yes, for sure, why not?”
The tension between the two rappers began in 2022 when Nasty C revealed in his freestyle “No Big Deal” that he had rejected Sarkodie’s feature requests after Sarkodie refused to shake his hand during their first meeting.
In the same freestyle, he expressed respect for Sarkodie while admitting to feeling resentful and was open to work with the Ghanaian rapper.
After the freestyle circulated online, Sarkodie later responded to the Nasty Con “Landlord,” denying ever requesting a feature and taking jabs at Nasty C.
