The 83rd Golden Globes Awards kicked off in Los Angeles on January 11, 2026, to honour the most outstanding films, television series, actors, actresses, and directors of the past year.
Hosted by Nikki Glasser, the Sunday night event saw Timothée Chalamet take home the Best Actor award (Marty Supreme), making headlines in the process. Finally Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners” won a Golden Globe in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
“One Battle After Another” and “Hamnet” won top awards in the film categories, while Netflix’s “Adolescence” dominated the limited series categories, securing all four awards it was nominated for, including Best Limited Series.
In addition to the existing Golden Globes categories, a new slot for Best Podcast shows was included, with Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast show adjudged the winner.
