Villarreal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of rape in the United Kingdom.

The Ghanaian footballer is facing new sexual assault charges, adding to existing accusations of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three women. The latest offense involves an additional woman, bringing the total number of accusers to four.

The new charges stem from a complaint reported in August 2025, prompting London’s Metropolitan Police to reopen an investigation into an alleged 2020 incident. The original charges, authorized last year, involve alleged offences between 2021-2022 while Partey was at Arsenal.

Thomas Partey was charged shortly after his contract ended in June 2025, denied all allegations, and pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court in September 2025. Partey remains on conditional bail, with an initial hearing on the new charges set for Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 13, 2026.

However, a full trial for the original charges scheduled at Southwark Crown Court (High Court judge) on November 2, 2026.
