Stonebwoy to Host Free Annual Concert for Prisoners at Nsawam Prison

Ghanaian Afro-dancehall superstar Stonebwoy has announced he will stage a free annual concert for inmates at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.

Ghanaian Afro-dancehall superstar Stonebwoy has announced he will stage a free annual concert for inmates at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.

The pledge came during a visit to the facility on April 13, 2026, when Stonebwoy, accompanied by his wife Dr. Louisa Satekla and the Livingstone Foundation, donated essential supplies including rice, oil, drinks and toiletries. He spent time interacting with inmates and sharing personal reflections.

Taking music to places few artistes dare to go, Stonebwoy described the move as a way to remember those behind bars and offer hope. He encouraged inmates to pursue personal reform, learn useful skills for reintegration, and remain steadfast, noting that God would intervene for the truly innocent.

Deputy Director of Prisons Patrick Thomas Seidu praised the initiative, saying music from an artiste of his stature could help lift spirits, support rehabilitation efforts and remind inmates they remain part of society. He also commended Stonebwoy for making time despite a busy schedule, describing the direct engagement as evidence of genuine concern.

Prison authorities thanked Stonebwoy, Dr. Louisa Satekla and the management team, calling the visit meaningful and uplifting.

The annual concert forms part of Stonebwoy’s ongoing humanitarian work and highlights his belief in music as a tool for positive change.
