Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, Ghana’s youngest artist and a Guinness World Record holder, presented his Guinness World Records citation to President John Dramani Mahama at Jubilee House this week through the Ena Art Gallery.
The Ghanaian, who began painting at six months of age, received global attention in 2024 when Guinness World Records recognized him as the world’s youngest male artist at one year and 152 days old.

According to his mother, artist Chantelle Kukua Eghan, Ace-Liam’s interest began while she worked in her studio. At six months, he began spreading paint across her canvas, resulting in his first work, titled The Crawl.
“I laid a canvas on the floor and added some paint. While crawling, he began spreading the colours across it,” Eghan said.
Recognizing his aptitude for abstract painting, Eghan applied to Guinness World Records on his behalf. The organization stipulated that qualification required a public exhibition and proof of sales. To meet the criteria, a debut exhibition was organized at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra in where nine paintings out of 10 were sold.
“At the age of one year and 152 days, Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah from Ghana is the world’s youngest male artist,” Guinness World Records stated.
Ace-Liam holds the male category record. The overall record for youngest artist is held by Arushi Bhatnagar, who exhibited work at 11 months old.
At age two, Ace-Liam was named one of the Top 100 Child Prodigies at the 2025 Global Child Prodigy Awards in London. He has subsequently been featured by the BBC, CNN and Smithsonian Magazine. He also headlined Ghana’s 69th Independence Celebration in China and is preparing for a forthcoming auction. His debut exhibition also resulted in a commission from former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
