Organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have shifted the 27th edition to a new venue, promising a fresh backdrop for what’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated nights in Ghanaian music.
Charterhouse, the production company behind the TGMA, announced that the awards will take place at the Palms Convention Centre, located on the grounds of the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra. The move marks a notable change from previous years, setting the stage for fans to gather on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Gates open as early as 7 p.m., with the red carpet rolling from 7 to 8 p.m. before the main ceremony kicks off at 9 p.m. The beachfront-adjacent venue is expected to bring a vibrant, upscale vibe to the star-packed evening.
Headlining performers include heavyweight names such as Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Medikal, Gyakie, MOLIY, Wendy Shay, Kweku Smoke, Piesie Esther, and Diana Hamilton. The roster blends chart-dominating rappers, Afrobeats energy, and gospel music talent, signalling a high-octane show full of live performances that could steal the spotlight.
