Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have reversed their earlier decision and will once again host the 27th edition of the awards at the Grand Arena in Accra.
The announcement, made by Charterhouse on Tuesday, May 5, 2025 comes just weeks after the TGMA board had shifted the venue to the Palms Convention Centre. This latest change marks the second venue adjustment for this year’s show.
According to Charterhouse, the decision to return to the Grand Arena was driven by the growing ambition and scale of this year’s production. The venue was selected for its “expansive capacity, superior technical infrastructure, and flexibility to accommodate a more dynamic and visually impressive show.”
The organisers also noted that the Grand Arena, the ideal venue for the TGMA since 2019, offers multi-purpose facilities that support dynamic stage productions, seamless broadcasting, and strong audience engagement that perfectly define the spirit of the awards.
The organisers also extended appreciation to headline sponsor Telecel Ghana, government partners, and other stakeholders for their patience and continued support amid the venue adjustments.
The 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The red carpet is expected to begin at 7:00 PM, with the dress code set as “A Touch of Glitter.”
