The family of the late actress Beverly Afaglo Baah has announced that her final funeral rites will take place on Thursday, August 7, 2026, at the Lashibi Funeral Home in Accra.
This comes after a deeply emotional one-week vigil held in her honour on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Tema. The event brought together friends, family members, and colleagues from the Ghanaian film industry, who gathered in large numbers to celebrate her life and legacy.
Notable personalities in attendance included actor and Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, James Gardiner, veteran filmmaker Pascal Amanfo, Ken Fiati, actor and comedian Jeffrey Nortey, John Dumelo gospel musician Empress Gifty, and media personality Akumaa Mama Zimbi. Several actresses who had worked closely with Beverly, including Roselyn Ngissah, Gloria Sarfo, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Vicky Zugah, Salma Mumin, Portia Asare, Irene Opare and Nana Ama McBrown, also attended the vigil.
Throughout the vigil, mourners shared touching tributes that highlighted Beverly Afaglo’s positive spirit. Colleagues recounted stories of her dedication to her craft, her humility despite her success, and the meaningful connections she built both on and off set.
The atmosphere was one of reflection, prayer, and celebration as those closest to her remembered not just the actress, but the loving mother, wife, and friend she was.
