Legendary highlife singer Ofori Amponsah has released a remix of his 2000s hit “Odo Nwom” (Love Song), this time featuring Stonebwoy and KiDi.
The reimagined track brings together three different generations of Ghanaian music on one of Amponsah’s best-known romantic songs.
Ofori Amponsah opens the record with the same silky, low-pitched delivery that first made him a sensation under the guidance of mentor Daddy Lumba. He handles the refrains and chorus, keeping the melody and nostalgic essence of the original recording, which featured Kofi Nti and Barosky, firmly in place.

Stonebwoy enters next with a verse that blends highlife phrasing and dancehall rhythm, picking up a similar approach to the one Barosky brought to the original. The addition gives the track more movement and energy while staying within the song’s romantic mood. KiDi follows with a short, clean contribution that leans toward contemporary afropop without pulling the track away from its core theme of love.
Kaywa’s production keeps the original’s gentle guitar lines, soft bubbling sound effect, percussion and classic highlife foundation largely intact. He adds only light modern bass and cleaner arrangement details. The familiar structure of refrain, chorus and hook stays the same.
“Odo Nwom” Remix feels like a careful update rather than a complete overhaul, giving the three voices room to work together while opening the song up to newer listeners.
