Mahama Reshuffles Labour and Deputy Defence Ministers

President John Mahama has made changes to his government, by reassigning the Labour, Jobs and Employment Minister Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo as Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives.

Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, who previously held the Special Initiatives portfolio, will replace Pelpuo as Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment.

The President also removed the Deputy Defence Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi, and reassigned him to the Presidency as an Adviser on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.

The changes were contained in a statement signed by Minister in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Wednesday.
