Fresh off the release of his extended play project “Sun Sherif,” Black Sherif joined the Vevo DSCVR series for his second live performance of songs from the project.
After a short rapid firestyled interview with Vevo, the Ghanaian artiste chose two of the EP’s six tracks for the stripped-down set.

He opened with “Run Around,” performing the song over warm piano chords and sparse acoustic textures. The restrained arrangement allowed space for the vulnerability in the lyrics, and Sherif’s controlled delivery brought out the intimacy of a lover’s questions without relying on volume or force.
“Frontline” shifted the atmosphere, carrying a defiant edge and brimming with urgency. Here, Sherif leaned into confrontational energy, projecting intensity that underscored the song’s rebellious spirit.
The live session combined narrative detail with performance strength to present a clear contrast between the two songs, one intimate and measured, the other direct and forceful, while introducing listeners to material from the newly released project.
It also offered a straightforward demonstration of why Black Sherif is one of Africa’s most wanted voices.
