President John Mahama has named the final batch of minister nominees, with certain key figures from in and out of parliament making the final cut.
Director of Elections and former Communication minister, Dr. Omane Boamah takes charge of Defence, with North Tongu MP, Okudzeto Ablakwa leading Foreign Affairs. Former sports minister, Muntaka Mohammed heads the Interior Ministry with Kwabena Mintah Akandoh filling the Health minister role. Kofi Adams heads to the Sports and Recreation Ministry with Rashid Pelpuo nominated to his old ministry; Labour, Jobs, and Employment.

Ningo Prampram MP, Sam Nettey George will lead government communications and drive digital technology and innovation. As predicted earlier by the minority leader, Afenyo Markin, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has been asked to take charge of Lands and Natural Resources.
The final batch of minister appointments includes the nomination of Charles Lwanga
Joseph Addae Akwaboa and Francis Owusu Antwi for Upper West, Bono, and Bono East Regions respectively.
The final list is in fulfilment of President Mahama’s promise to appoint all substantive ministers within 14 days in office.
