Bree Runway just dropped a new SoundCloud-exclusive project titled +233 WORLDWIDE! – it’s a bold, genre-blending celebration of her Ghanaian roots.
The title references Ghana’s country code. With her latest release, Bree taps into her Ghanaian roots and gives us a loud, rich, and proudly pan-African body of work.
Each track samples, reworks of legends that many Ghanaian kids grew up hearing at weddings, parties, or blaring from their parents’ speakers.
On “ABIBA,” Bree flips a Ghanaian classic by Rex Omar, weaving his timeless groove into something fresh but familiar.
“BIG BORGA” is a bold fusion, sampling Daddy Lumba’s “Dangerous” with a cheeky nod to Mzbel’s “16 Years” — giving it that sweet-and-savage Bree energy.
“OWAYEH” brings in the big guns: Kofi Nti and Ofori Amponsah. Their legendary “odo nnwom” vibes ground the track in straight-up highlife nostalgia.
On “RUNWAY HUH?”, Bree adopts the cadence of Deeba, then flips it with a dash of Tic Tac’s swagger — bridging old-school Accra with new-school global.
And “EAZZY BAYBEH”? A wild, flirty tribute to Eazzy’s “Wengeze” — a pop anthem reimagined through Bree’s off-the-wall lens.
Finally, “HONEY” is Bree doing Bree — confident, slick, genre-defiant, no rules.
Each record showcases Bree’s signature fusion of pop, hip-hop, and hiplife influences.
