Afrobeats and Highlife star KiDi has officially confirmed that his long-standing relationship with Lynx Entertainment has come to an end.
The “Danger” hitmaker made the revelation during a recent TikTok live session with social media commentator Code Mickey. He explicitly declared himself a fully independent artiste, confirming he is no longer affiliated with the label.
According to KiDi, he parted ways with Lynx Entertainment shortly after releasing “Gymnastic,” his 2025 collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Black. Since then, he has been managing his career independently.

KiDi originally joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after winning the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition. Under label boss Richie Mensah, he developed into one of Ghana’s most consistent and successful Afrobeats and Highlife artists. The label also managed other notable talents including Asem, Eazzy, MzVee, Zigi, Kuami Eugene, Adina, and DopeNation.
During his decade with the label, KiDi recorded major success. He won Artiste of the Year at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, where he also scooped Album of the Year for The Golden Boy, Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year, and Most Popular Song of the Year for “Touch It.” He was also named Artiste of the Year at the 3Music Awards in 2021 and earned Highlife Song of the Year for “Odo” in 2018.
