Goose, who were in the middle of a sold-out run at the MSG, shared a statement on Instagram following the tragedy.
“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show,” the band wrote. “We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected. Thank you to the emergency personnel and venue staff who stepped in with care and support.”
In a statement, MSG said it was “deeply saddened by the loss of a fan’s life” and is awaiting the official police report on the tragedy. The venue also extended its condolences and well wishes to the family and friends of the concertgoer.
This is the second fatal fall involving a concert attendee at a major New York-area venue in recent years. In 2021, a fan in his 40s died after falling from a second-floor staircase during a Dead & Company concert at Citi Field.
